Machining Service
Having an in house machine shop helps for quick turn around on mechanical housings for holding optics or detectors. It also helps to be able to try out fixtures needed for alignment. It also helps with minor adjustment to existing tooling. We generally work with aluminum, copper and steel and a wide variety of plastics. Having the in house capability can take days and sometimes weeks off each iteration of your project.
Laser Cutting Service
Laser cutting is a very efficient method for creating small, thin tooling. It can be used to make custom gaskets. Due to the cnc nature of the tool, any shape that can be drawing in 2D in a CAD program can be cut with the Laser cutter. The tool does have some limitations on thickness and material types but most common materials are delrin, acrylic, polystyrene and ABS.
Assembly Service
- cleanroom assembly–the cleanroom is class 10,000 for standard optical assembly
- flow hood–the hood area is a class 100 clean space for those applications that need greater cleanliness.
