Description
The Light Box is a tool to help with optical or other visual inspection. It provides a very dark background with side lamp illumination to allow scratches and digs on optical elements to be seen. It also provides a simple means to check cleanliness of your optics. The unit is portable and can be set up almost anywhere. There are tilt pedestals attached to the front cover so the unit can be tilted upward for ease of use. To use, open the front cover and set the unit on the underside of the cover. This tilts the unit upward. Plug in the 24V power supply with standard 2.1x 5.5mm connector, and you are ready to inspect your optics.
The side lamp is powered by the supplied 24V DC power supply. The side lamp can provide equivalent illumination to a 15W compact fluorescent lamp The Light Box inner area is ~14”W x 12”H x 10”deep. The inside coating is a ultra-flat black paint for low reflectance. The unit comes with a on/off toggle switch along with the 24V DC power supply.
